SC Villa, the champions of the Uganda Premier League, has completed the signing of Kenneth Kimera, a striker for the Wakiso Giants.
Kimera has signed a three-year contract with the 17-time Ugandan champions, as far as Swift Sports Uganda is aware.
Kimera left Manyangwa FC of the Regional League to join the Wakiso Giants at the beginning of the recently finished season.
He scored 10 league goals with the Purple Sharks in his rookie campaign.
Kimera has also competed in the renowned Buganda Masaza Cup in the past for Gomba and Kyadondo.
With nine goals, he was also a key member of Kibuli SS’s winning squad during the 2023 UMEA Solidarity Games.
Kimera will strengthen Charles Lwanga and Regan Mpande’s offensive line for SC Villa.
Under the guidance of Serbian tactician Dusan Stojanovic, SC Villa won a record-breaking 17th league title last season and will now play for Uganda in the 2024–25 CAF Champions League.
