Ugandan winger Abdu Lumala has formally departed from NK Slaven Belupo, a Croatian team.
In March of this year, the former Vipers forward signed a two-year contract with Slaven Belupo as a free agent.
He later made four appearances as the squad placed ninth out of ten in the Croatian Premier League standings.
” Abdu Lumala is no longer a player of Slaven Belupo. He arrived in Koprivnica in March of this year and made a total of four appearances in our jersey. Abdu, good luck in your career!” The club tweeted.
After playing for Swedish clubs Mjallby AIF, Kalmar FF, Varbergs BoIS, Helsingborgs IF, IFK Värnamo, and Syrianska FC, Lumala joined Egyptian moneybags Pyramids FC in 2019 after winning the 2019 AFCON tournament with the Uganda Cranes. He then played for Vipers in the Uganda Premier League until the beginning of this year. Lumala’s destination is still unknown, but reports indicate that he is expected to return to Sweden.
