June 26, 2024
Charles Livingston Mbabazi, the head coach of Mbarara City, has disclosed the main reason behind his alcoholism. The former Vipers SC strategist said on social media that his issues with alcohol are a result of living a lie-filled life since his wife passed away ten years ago.
“I want to apologize to any I have offended and wronged in my life, especially the coaches, chairmen of clubs, the fans and among others . I have been living a life of lies since my wife passed away ten years ago, I have been drinking a lot to forget her but I have to accept that she died and I move on and be a better dad to mi children.”
“This comes from the bottom of my heart to thank anyone who has supported me and gave me opportunities to work for them during my condition and during those tough times and except me as a new man. It’s not going to be easy but I am ready for the new challenge.
“The change or new me, it’s for my family not any one else and I still need your support and prayers during my transformation,” added Livingston Mbabazi.
The former Uganda Cranes international has coached multiple clubs in Lweza (as a coach player), Masavu, Wakiso Giants, Onduparaka, Kyetume, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Arua Hill, Vipers, and most recently Mbarara City since he retired from active football.
