On Thursday at Najjembe, Vipers SC lost by a score of points against Lugazi FC, a new team to the league.
Lugazi entered the match following consecutive losses to UPDF FC and Kitara FC.
Nikola Kavazovic, the Venoms’ tactician, started the same lineup that defeated Express FC 3-0.
The two substitutions made by Sadiq Sempigi’s team from their 1-0 loss against UPDF FC were Derrick Mwanje and Basham Mugwa.
There was nothing between the two teams in a contest with few goal possibilities.
Since it was Lugazi’s first point in the top division, they should be celebrating, but for Vipers, the stalemate seemed like a defeat in their title hopes for this term.
With four points, Vipers are now ranked fourth in the rankings. On Saturday, October 5, at Kitende, they will play host to SC Villa, the league champions.
Lugazi, on the other hand, only have one point and continue to finish last.
