The final four are vying for a spot in the championship match, and the Buganda Masaza Cup semi-final schedule has been announced.
After Ssingo, Mawokota, Kabula, and Busujju were ousted in the quarterfinals, Kyaggwe, Buwekula, Buddu, and Kyaddondo comprised the final four.
Ssingo’s aspirations of winning a third Masaza Cup were dashed on Sunday as they were eliminated at the quarterfinal stage at home.
In what may be Simon Peter Mugerwa’s final match in the famous tournament, Kyaggwe defeated Ssingo 2-1 on aggregate to advance to the semifinals.
Buwekula, who defeated Mawokota, the defending champion, 2-1 overall, also made it to the last four.
The team led by Felix Ssekabuza will now compete against Kyaggwe to go to the championship game.
After defeating Kabula 3-1 on aggregate, Buddu also easily advanced to the semifinals, while Kyaddondo defeated Busujju 2-0 overall.
This year, Kyaddondo and Buddu will rematch in the Semifinal after their group stage encounters.
On Sundays, October 6 and October 13 of the same month, the semifinals will take place.
The semifinal winners will compete in the final, which is scheduled for Saturday, October 26.
