On Thursday, October 24, UPDF FC will face the erratic URA FC at Bombo Military Barracks grounds in an attempt to maintain their strong home record.
URA defeated 1-0 against BUL FC at Nakivubo, while the Army team entered this match after playing to a scoreless draw with KCCA at Lugogo.
In their first two home games, UPDF has won both of them. They defeated debutants Lugazi FC and Wakiso Giants 1-0.
With a full roster for this match, coach Paul Kiwanuka anticipates success based on their home run thus far this season.
“We are not thinking about our performance in the previous tie, we have just prepared a squad ready enough to play URA FC. All the players are fully fit for selection.”
“Our performance at home
this season so far is good and I believe we are getting positive results tomorrow.”
Ismail Mugulusi and Hudu Mulikyi will not be available to the Tax Collectors, although Abdu Magada, Godfrey Sekibengo, Denis Kisiriko, and John Innocent Kisolo will return from national team engagements.
With eight points, UPDF is in fifth place, and URA is in seventh place with seven points.
