Charles Bbale set to join Kenyan Premier League side from Rayon Sport

January 28, 2025

Charles Bbaale, a former striker for SC Villa, is close to joining Gor Mahia FC, one of the biggest teams in the Kenya Premier League. Before the expected transfer to the Kenyan record champions, Bbaale is now in Kenya. The impending action follows Bbaale’s mutual separation from Rayon Sports of Rwanda around a week ago.

During his 18-month tenure at Rayon Sports, Bbaale played a key role in leading the team to triumph against rivals APR FC in the 2023 FERWAFA Super Cup.

In addition, he will join midfielder Chris Pius Akena as Gor Mahia’s second Ugandan. When the transfer window officially begins on January 30, Gor Mahia hopes to add players to their roster.

In the race for the title, the K’Oghalo hope to stay up with Tusker FC and Kenya Police, the clear favorites. With 28 points, Gor Mahia is now in third place, eight points behind Police and Tusker, who are tied at 36.
