Arsenal considering loan move for our of favor EPL striker
January 31, 2025
Arsenal is running out of time as they continue their search for a new striker as the January transfer window draws to a close. Although a number of names have been mentioned, the Gunners have not yet taken the matter seriously.
The North London team could, however, make a bid for Brighton & Hove Albion attacker Evan Ferguson prior to the transfer deadline, according to Alex Crook of TalkSports.
The Irish sensation is regarded as one of the Premier League’s most promising young players. Although he has performed well in past campaigns, he has not yet established himself this season.
Ferguson has been inconsistent this season, scoring just one goal in 14 games. His last Premier League goal came against Wolves in October 2024.
However, he is still a very sought-after player in England, and a number of clubs have expressed interest in signing him. During the 2022–2023 season, the 20-year-old advanced through the ranks and scored six goals in 19 appearances for the Seagulls.
He demonstrated his ability to play regularly last season, scoring the same number of goals in 27 games. He has been unable to play much due to injuries, and manager Fabian Hurzeler has acknowledged that he needs more playing time to get back to his best. The manager has made it clear that they will have to examine how things develop in the transfer.
“We want to improve the development of the players; we want to help him; therefore, we need an exchange. Then we see what makes sense for the player in the next six months; we will make a decision together; it’s not an individual decision.
*I felt in the conversations that I have had with Evan that he only wants to play; that is the main thing. No matter if it is here or at another club.”
