Isaac Ogwang, who joined the Cops from Arua Hill at the beginning of the 2023–24 season and helped them win promotion to the Uganda Premier League, has signed a two-year contract with the Venoms.
Ogwang is the top scorer in the Uganda Premier League this season with six goals. Vipers SC, six-time Uganda Premier League champions, have officially signed Ogwang.
In the 2023–24 season, he scored 12 goals to help the team led by Simon Peter Mugerwa win the Fufa Big League championship. He will compete for a starting spot at Vipers SC against players like Mohamed Salem, Gusto Mulongo, Yunus Sentamu, and Kenneth Kimera.
Marvin Youngman, who rejoined the Vipers after only six months at Bright Stars, further strengthened their roster. Due to an injury, the Venoms will start the second round without their captain, Milton Karisa.
Karisa has scored seven goals in the league so far this season. With 34 points from 10 wins, 4 draws, and 1 loss against NEC FC in second place, Vipers SC led the league standings at the end of the first round.
