BUL bring Kitara’s 10 game unbeaten run to an end

March 7, 2025

Kitara’s 10-game winning streak came to an end on Thursday as BUL FC narrowly defeated them 1-0 in front of the floodlights at Nakivubo Stadium. For the team led by Abbey Kikomeko, Jeromy Kirya’s goal in the second half was sufficient to maximize points.

Since their tight loss to Bright Stars in November of last year, Kitara have not lost a league game. During that period, they had also maintained ten straight clean sheets.

After victories over Express FC and URA FC this season, BUL has now won three straight games at Nakivubo and is still undefeated against Kitara. Additionally, the Eastern Giants defeated the Royals by a double.

With 32 points, BUL FC is ranked third in the Uganda Premier League standings, while Kitara FC is in fourth place with 28 points.

In their respective league games, Kitara FC will host Mbarara City FC, while Kikomeko’s team will host URA FC.
