Former Uganda Cranes and KCCA midfielder Jackson Mayanja aka Mia Mia and Wakiso Giants forward Titus Ssematimba have been rewarded by the Fortebet Real Stars awards.
Mayanja was given the Life Achievers Award while Ssematimba won the award for the best footballer for the month of November.
The pair were excellent during the U20 campaign in Sudan in which the team won the trophy and qualified for the U20 AFCON.
The event happened over the weekend at Garden city rooftop and was attended by the National Council of Sports chairman Ambrose Tashobya, Shadow Minister and Bukomansimbi South Member of Parliament Godfrey Kayemba Solo.
There were also other sportsmen and women awarded at these awards.
Brendah Ekone beat long distance runner Jacob Kiplimo and rally driver Ponsiano Lwakataka to the super star of the year 2022 award.
She’s a basketball player for the JKL Dolphins team.
Lucky Akello walked away the Hockey player of the month award after her 12 goals held her side to win a double in the Uganda cup and league title.
Jimmy Enabu and Fayed Bbaale were beaten to the baskeballer award for the November month by Titus Odeke.
