Baker Mbowa leaves URA FC

The latest sources have it on how Uganda Premier League side URA FC has parted ways with their assistant coach Baker Mbowa.

These sources state that Baker Mbowa was axed by the tax collectors.

The club will soon be naming his replacement a few days from now.

Despite Mbowa being sacked, the club will go ahead under Sam Timbe as the head coach.

The fired Mbowa joined the Arena of Visions in April 2022.

This was after the club letting go of the assistant coachs Simeone Masaba and Robert Mukasa.

Mbowa first gained recognition during his time at Proline FC in 2016.

The CAF B licensed coach was at the helm of the club as they charged for promotion to the Uganda Premier League.

He also deputized Shafiq Bisaso as Proline won the 2019 Stanbic Uganda cup.

Mbowa also was present as Proline played in the CAF Confederations Cup but later on joined Bright Stars.

As a player, he played for KCCA FC and also featured for the national team, the Uganda Cranes.

His coaching stints have also included
Masaka LC, Mawokota and Kabula in the Masaza Cup.
