Uganda Premier league side URA FC has signed midfielder Nicholas Kabonge according to reliable sources.
It’s reported that Kabonge penned a two year contract at the Arena of Visions.
The midfielder has been clubless after his contract with SC Villa expired at the end of the 2021-22 season.
The Jogoos however also wanted to resign the 2017 Airtel Masaza cup winner but URA FC were quick to pounce on him for his signature.
Kabonge before joining Villa was playing for the Kampala Junior Team (KJT) in the fourth division of the National league.
He will also reunite with his ex SC Villa teammate Salim Abdallah.
Kabonge becomes URA FC’s second signing in this January window after singing forward Bruno Bunyaga from Bushenyi Veterans.
Nicholas Kabonge is also expected to step in the blank left by URA’s captain Shafik Kuchi Kagimu who saw his contract terminated by the club.
