Former Vipers midfielder Paul Mucureezi has come out to reveal what went wrong for him at Kitende based side Vipers SC following his unsuccessful stint.

While appearing on NBS Sport, Mucureezi revealed that he and Vipers mutually agreed not to extend his contract

This was largely due to lack of playing time.

However, before former Vipers coach, Robertinho left for Simba SC, he had recommended Mucureezi’s contract to be renewed.

The attacking midfielder added that his lack of playing time was due to Robertinho’s playing style.

However, the Brazilian felt like the former Mbarara City player added something special to the team.

“For the good of my future, @VipersSC and I agreed not to have my contract renewed given the fact that I wasn’t having enough playing time.

Before Coach Roberto Oliviera left @VipersSC, he had handed in my requisition to have my contract renewed. My lack of playing time was because of his style of play however, he still felt like I added something to the club,” said Mucureezi.

Further, he revealed why he excelled at KCCA.

According to Paul Mucureezi KCCA’s coach then, Mike Mutebi knew how to exploit his abilities.

The midfielder however assured his fans that he will make an announcement regarding his future very soon.

He proceeded to wish Vipers all the best in their upcoming competitions.

“Coach Mike Mutebi used to play me in the right position (while at @KCCAFC) and he knew my abilities as a football player.

I promise my fans that I will make the announcement about my future soon and to my @VipersSC family, I love you so much and I pray that you have the best in the league and the Champions League.”
