Crested Cranes forward Fauzia Najjemba signs for Russian top side in record breaking fee

Dynamo Moscow Women Football Club which plays in the Russian women’s league has announced the signing of Uganda Crested Cranes forward Fauzia Najjemba.

The striker joined the Russian club on a long term contract.

This is after her one year deal with
BIIK Shymkent which plays in the Kazakhstan league came to an end.

Najjemba joined the Kazakh side which won the league title when they were partaking in the UEFA women’s Champions League qualifiers.

She will wear the number 20 shirt just like her age having been born in 2003.

Najjemba expressed her delight in joining her new club and can’t wait to get started.

Her former club BIIK Shymkent also received a record transfer fee in their history for her.

This was also a record transfer fee for any East African female footballer.

Najjemba’s new club is part of Russian giant football club, Dynamo Moscow.

It was founded just recently in 2021.

She becomes the second Ugandan player to play in Russia after Moses Oloya who played for Kuban Krasnodar in 2018.

Najjemba has previously played for clubs such as Isra Soccer Academy, Kampala Queens and BIIK Shymkent.
