It looks like former Onduparaka forward Alfred Leku could be soon getting back to the Uganda Premier League.
This is after his contract got terminated by Zambian Giants, ZESCO FC.
It was not only Leku who saw his contract get terminated but also 5 other players.
The Ugandan striker joined ZESCO last year in July on a one year contract.
He started his debut in style as he netted for ZESCO in the 1-1 draw against Prison Leopards.
Sources now indicate that Leku could be back in the country as he’s currently in talks with URA FC.
The tax collectors have been so active in the transfer window singing a couple of players.
These include Joshua Lubwama, Bruno Bunyaga and Nicholas Kabonge.
Meanwhile Leku has previously played for clubs such as Vipers SC, Onduparaka, Express, Proline FC and Arua Hill in Uganda.
He’s also played outside the country in Botswana for Jwaneng Galaxy and Extension Gunners in 2018/19.
He netted 10 goals for Arua Hill and 6 assists in the 2021-22 season.
