Here is the reason UPL side Blacks Power axed 7 players

Blacks Power FC which plays in the Uganda Premier League has confirmed how it has released seven of their players.

This is as they wait a few weeks from now to resume the second round of the league.

The team managed by Hussein Mbalangu released players such as former Mbarara City FC goalie Mohammed Ssekeba.

Stephen Othieno, Ronald Musana, Bronson Nsubuga, Francis Onekalit. Baden Mujahid and Faizal Muwawu are the others who were showed the exit door by the club.

According to a statement released by the club. This decision was arrived at after a meeting by the player assessment and ethical committee.

“Following the player assessment meeting held on 16th January 2023, the management in regard of the club performance and ethical policies made a fundamental decision to release the following players from the 2022/23 squad.”

“Here at Blacks Power we would like to thank the above players for their dedicated service to the club and wish them the very best in their next endeavours”

Blacks Power who debuted in the league at the start of this season are just one place above the relegation zone.

Apparently, they have garnered just 11 points from 14 games.

They will be playing an in-form BUL FC on 10th February as the second round of the UPL resumes.
