SC Villa and Maroons sweep December UPL awards

Sports Club Villa and Maroons FC have emerged the winners in the categories of best coach and player of the month in the monthly awards in the UPL.

This was for the December best performers in the awards organized by Pilsner Lager.

The awards held at Kati Kati restaurant in Lugogo saw Villa coach Jackson Magera emerge winner of the best coach for the month of December.

SC Villa was unbeaten in the month of December in the UPL.

They played 4 games, won 3 and drew 1.

Magera had to beat off competition from KCCA’s Morley Byekwaso and BUL’s Alex Isabirye who were equally impressive.

In the player category, Fred Amaku beat off competition from Tibita Laban, Busoga United and Milton Karisa, Vipers SC.

The Maroons forward netted 3 goals and an assist.

He also was named man of the match in one of those games.

Both of these winners took home a cash prize of Shs 1m.
