FUFA fines Busoga United for nearly killing Maroons FC player

Uganda Premier League side Busoga United has been handed a heavy fine by FUFA because of negligence.
This negligence almost cost the life of Maroons FC player, Sula Mpanga.
Mpanga suffered a concussion on February 9th during a UPL game against Busoga United.
There was however no ambulance to transport Mpanga to the hospital.
Maroons CEO Rodrick Muhumuza had to use his personal car to transport him.
FUFA therefore has handed Busoga United with a fine of Shs 1m soon as they get the notice.
The club was also rallied upon to adhered to the rules of the game.
“The FUFA Competions Displinary Panel has sanctioned Busoga United FC for breach of article 15 of the FUFA competitions rules and article 16 of the Uganda Premier League Rules during the UPL fixture between Busoga United FC and Maroons FC on 9th February 2023.”
“The team failed to make available an ambulance during the course of the match. The CDP hereby sanctions Busoga United FC with a fine of UGX 1,000,000 (Uganda shillings one million) to be paid immediately upon receipt of this decision.
Busoga United is further implored to adhere to the rules at all times so as to avoid bringing the game of football into disrepute.”
UPL rules and regulations state that there should be an ambulance for emergency at everyday game.
