Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has come out to give his honest views about the Saudi Pro League.

It should be noted that Ronaldo joined Al Nasr a few months ago where he’s made an impressive start.

Speaking to the media, the Portugal national team said that the Saudi Pro League is not at the same level as the top leagues.

However, it’s a league that left him positively surprised.

And he’s confident that if they continue with their plan, the league will be among the top leagues in a few years from now.

“Saudi’s is very competitive league. It’s not Premier League, I’m not going to lie, but it’s a league that left me positively surprised” “In 5,6,7 years, if they continue with the plan, it will be the 4th, 5th league in the world”.

Ronaldo has so far scored 9 goals for Al Nasr in 8 league appearances.

He was among those called up by the Portuguese coach for the international break.

Portugal will be playing against Lichtenstein today and Luxembourg on Sunday.

The 5 time Ballon D’or winner will be looking to bag more goals to his impressive international career.

He also addressed his time at Manchester United saying that he’s a better man now.

“Sometimes, you have to go through some things to see who is on my side.”

“I have no problem saying, I had a bad career run, but there’s no time for regrets.”

“When we are at the top of the mountain, we often cannot see what is below.”

“Now, I’m more prepared and learning that was important because I had never been through this, like in the last few months.

“Now I’m a better man.”
