Arsenal handed huge boost over William Saliba’s injury
April 19, 2023
English Premier League leaders Arsenal have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of England’s biggest crown in football, the league trophy. Reports indicate that defender William Saliba is on his way to returning back.
This is after the Frenchman was seen working out on the bikes in the club’s gym at London Colney. A video was posted via another Arsenal injured player, Mohammed El-Neny‘s Instagram page.
This seems like he’s now close to returning as his rehabilitation has begun. It’s waited to see when he will step back on the green grass in training. This will be the better news.
His return date is not yet clear. Less is known for now for now on whether the 21 year old Frenchman will be in time for the upcoming 7 remaining fixtures for the Gunners.
“Sources have indicated that the injury requires day-to-day management. Indicating his recovery is not completely straightforward.
There is hope Saliba can step up his rehabilitation imminently. Boss Arteta indicated on Friday that the centre-back is expected to recommence training on the grass this week,” writes the Daily Mail.
It should be recalled that Saliba has been injured for a couple of weeks now. This is after he walked off in the game against Sporting CP in the Europa league in which Arsenal clashed out.
Other sources say that he could surprisingly turn up for the Manchester City game as he’s so eager to return.
The Gunners have dropped 4 crucial points in their past 2 games against Liverpool and West Ham.
Mikel Arteta‘s side led all these games by 2-0 but crumbled. They play Southampton next on Friday. Before a visit at the Etihad to take on Manchester City in what will definitely be a title decider.
