KCCA FC defender Denis Iguma alleges corruption and betting in Ugandan football

KCCA FC defender Denis Iguma has come out to make some disparaging remarks alleging corruption. Taking to his social media pages, Iguma said that he’s so proud that he plays for the strongest club in the country.
This is due to the fact that it has the strongest and best players. Besides, they don’t rely on betting and bribing. They play real football according to Iguma.
“It feels great (read great) to play for the best team in Uganda. Strong team with great players. No bribing. No betting but real football.”
Some sections of the public now want FUFA to call him so that he can help in the investigation into these allegations he made. And if he has no proof, he should be severely dealt with.
Others have urged the Lugogo based club to get its players social media handlers. The KCCA fraternity seem like they haven’t gotten over their 1-0 loss to Vipers last week at St Mary’s Kitende.
During the press conference after the game, KCCA’s interim coach Jackson Mayanja made some scathing remarks about the referee of the game Mashood Ssali.
“I want to put it in the Camera without fear of anybody, Mr. Mashood (Ssali) is the problem.”
His comments have since seen FUFA open up a disciplinary case against him. It’s currently ongoing and its findings and way forward will be published soon.
