KCCA FC have missed a grand opportunity to return to top of the Star Times Uganda Premier League table after bottling a 2-0 lead against lowly placed Onduparaka.

The Kasasiro boys came into this game beaming with confidence. They had won their previous 2 games including thrashing title contenders SC Villa 4-1.

Jackson Mayanja started the game brightly against lowly placed side, Onduparaka FC.

They always looked a threat but thr Caterpillars were able to stand their ground and ended the first half goalless.

Mayanja quickly made two substitutions at the start of the second half. Kagawa and Muhammad Shaban came on for Simon Kakonde and Julius Poloto.

KCCA’s scintillating winger Moses Waiswa gave the hosts a lead in the 52nd minute after scoring a sumptuous free kick.

It wasn’t long before the Lugogo based side doubled their lead in the 64th minute as Allan Okello doubled the home side’s lead.

Onduparaka started mounting an almost impossible comeback as Oketch Emmanuel pulled one back in the 87th minute.

This rejuvenated the relegation bound club and Oketch completed the memorable comeback as he notched in the equalizer in additional time.

The draw has now moved KCCA to 45 points one behind SC Villa who play Maroons tomorrow.

KCCA however still have a game in hand but they play Vipers next.
