Yamila Tamara Rodríguez an Argentinean female football player has arose controversy on social media after a tattoo of her caught the attention of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi fan boys.
Apparently Yamila has two incredible tattoos on her leg. One belongs to the late Argentina legend Diego Armando Maradona while another belongs to Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo FC has taken to this tweet to taunt Messi FC. They see this as a win since an Argentine adores the former Real Madrid striker.
In all this, the 25 year old who plays for Brazilian club SE Palmeiras has been caught in cross fire. Apparently she even liked tweets that said FIFA favored Argentina in the Qatar FIFA World Cup that they ended up lifting.
The footballer who is currently representing Argentina at the FIFA Women’s World Cup came out to defend herself. She said that she’s not having any pleasure in this crossfire.
And besides, she’s never said that she’s anti-Messi. She added that the 7 time Ballon D’or winner is a great captain of their national team.
However for her case, she idolizes Ronaldo. And this does not call need for alarm. She added that everyone has the choice to love the footballers they want.
And it’s not a rule to love ones country’s footballers. It is a choice that comes naturally.
“Please. I never said I’m anti-Messi and I never would be. Messi is our great captain of the national team, but the fact that I say that my inspiration and my idol is CR7 does not mean that I hate Messi.”
She’s not the only Argentine that us head over heels over Ronaldo. Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho is another.
However, several Portuguese footballer legends such as Figo, Deco and the late Eusebio all picked Lionel Messi over Ronaldo in the GOAT debate.
