Ugandan goalkeeper Charles Lukwago have finally joined new Ethiopian Premier League side Hewassa City FC.
Charles Lukwago have been unattached to any club eversince he parted ways with St George and therefore he joins Hewassa City FC as a free agent.
Charles Lukwago is a proven and respected goalkeeper in Ethiopia and so found it easy to find his new home there.
In his last two seasons at St George, he has been guiding the side to Ethiopian Premier League titles.
In his debut season while at St George, Lukwago was even named best goalkeeper of the season. He finished with 19 clean sheets from 27 games.
Lukwago’s new side Hewassa City FC have also been champions of Ethiopia two times that was in 2004 and 2007.
Charles Lukwago joins a list of Ugandan goalkeepers currently trading in Ethiopia including Saidi Keni in Shashemene City, Robert Odongkara in Wolkite City and Nafian Alionzi in Mekelakeya SC.
