Newly promoted Uganda Premier League side NEC FC have confirmed the signing of former Vipers Foward Cromwell Rwothomio.
Cromwell Rwothomio joins NEC FC as a free agent following the termination of his working contract at Vipers SC.
Rwothomio put down on paper a one year working contract with NEC FC with option of leaving in January if any clear offer comes on table.
Rwothomio had joined Vipers SC in August 2022 from Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club.
In his last season at URA FC, Rwothomio had netted 14 goals thus helping the side finish fifth.
Despite his good form, at Vipers Rwothomio failed to shine as he was disturbed by long injuries.
Vipers terminated Rwothomio’s contract as they opted more and new energy could be needed in their busy season 2023/2024.
NEC are under head coach Hussein Mbalangu and have had better signings that gives them relief of better performance this season.
In their first league game, NEC defeated Mbarara City 1-0 away at Kakyeka Stadium.
