Reports coming in indicate how Italian giants, Juventus have banned their player, Paul Pogba from club premises. This is after the Frenchman tested positive for testosterone, an endurance enhancing drug banned from being used by athletes.
Pogba last month tested positive for this drug after random tests on Serie A players. As a result, the 30 year old requested for a counter analysis test whose results were released yesterday.
This test also turned out to be positive spelling bad news for the 2018 World Cup winner. French publication Le’Equipe reports that he has been banned from the Juventus training ground. Furthermore, he’s also not allowed to be in contact with any employees of the club.
“Paul Pogba is banned from having access to the Juventus training ground and the midfielder also no longer has the right to come into contact with club employees.”
It’s waited to see how the player goes about this situation. One thing that is clear though is that his club is looking for a way to distance themselves from him.
Pogba faces up to 4 years ban from any footballing activity. His agent Rafael Pimenta speaking about the first test said that this was just an accident and was never the former Manchester United midfielder’s choice.
