KCCA FC last night officially sacked their head coach, Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil after just a few months in the country. The club revealed that his assistant coach too Luis Manuel Correira Guerrero also left alongside his boss.
Apparently the Kasasiro Boys disguised this sacking as Traguil having a pressing family issue that required his immediate attention. Going forward, first team coach, Jackson Magera Kaddu will be the headcoach on an interim basis until further notice.
“KCCA FC and Head Coach Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil have today, Tuesday, 24th October 2023 mutually parted ways with immediate effect. Sergio has a family issue that requires his immediate attention and thus both parties have agreed to mutually part ways. Assistant Manager, Luis Manuel Correira Guerreiro also leaves the club. The Club thanks the duo for their services and wishes them well in their future endeavors. First team Coach Jackson Magera Kaddu takes charge of all First Team duties as the Interim Head Coach with immediate effect.”
Sergio Traguil’s sacking was imminent. The Portuguese was yet to pick up a point in the first 3 league games played. In fact the club had become a beating stock for every club in the league with opponents yearning to play against them.
Besides, his only win was a 3-2 win over Abu Salem in the CAF Confederations Cup qualifiers which they also crashed out of. KCCA plays NEC FC next in the Star Times Uganda Premier League.
