Videos: Celtic FC fans do unbelievable gesture for Palestinians during UCL game

Fans of Scottish football club Celtic put up an unbelievable gesture for Palestinians during their UEFA Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.
Although the game ended in a 2 all draw, it wasn’t the talking point. The point was the fans solidarity with the people of Palestine. Thousands of flags were displayed in the stands as the game went on.
Chants from fans also supporting Palestinians who are being massacred by Israel were heard from the stands. The move was orchestrated by the club’s Green Brigade section of fans.
Apparently the club had warned fans not to bring anything relating to the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. However, the fans defied this directive saying it’s a move by the club to suppress their political freedom.
The club will now definitely face a fine from UEFA which has strongly advised against actively showing participation in the deadly conflict. Apparently it’s not the first time that the Club’s fans are displaying Palestine flags. They have done so far twice this season in the league games against Kilmarnock and Hearts.
This brave practice amongst Celtic fans has been ongoing for quite som time. In 2014 in a game against Iceland’s KR Reykjavik, the same flags were displayed. Furthermore, the same was done against Israeli side, Hapoel Beer-Sheva.
All the while, the club received fines from UEFA anf FIFA as these demand separating politics from Football. Although the same wasn’t done during the Ukraine- Russia crisis.
