The Federation of Uganda Football Association has confirmed the signature of Sam Ssimbwa as new assistant Uganda Cranes coach.
FUFA confirmed the news on Thursday evening.
“FUFA has duly accepted the appointment of Sam Ssimbwa by Uganda Cranes head coach and he will start serving in his new role with immediate effect”.
Before, FUFA had confirmed Belgium coach Paul Joseph Put as the new head coach.
Apparently Ssimbwa is a proven coach and FUFA hopes he will be a great addition.
Uganda Cranes will be playing Guinea and Somalia later this month in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
