Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has provided injury updates about his star players, Erling Halaand and Kevin De Bruyne. De Bruyne has been missing for the larger part of the campaign and only returned to training last week.
Halaand has also been out for several games after he suffered an injury. Guardiola revealed that these are not far from returning to full fitness.
According to Pep, Halaand will be back in January as he hasn’t made any full training session. For the Belgian, he’s been training with the first team but he’s not fully fit due to being fatigues.
“Haaland feels better but he hasn’t made one training session with us. Hopefully in January he can come back with us”.
“De Bruyne last week he trained with us, today he had a little bit of fatigue because he’s training hard”
Apparently Manchester City returned to winning ways yesterday with a 3-1 win over Everton at Goodison Park. Goals from Phil Foden, Julian Alvarez and Bernardo Silva ensured they take all three points.
They are now 5 points adrift of the top spot with a game in hand. Liverpool are the current league leaders with 42 points but have played a game more than Arsenal. The Gunners have a chance to reclaim top spot as they host West Ham United at the Emirates stadium tonight.
