Thomas Partey is reportedly going to be cut by Arsenal this summer.
In 2020, the 30-year-old midfielder left Atletico Madrid for the Gunners in a £45 million transfer. Although he quickly won over fans at the Emirates, the Ghanaian international has not played much this season because of injuries.
For the first three games of the season, Thomas Partey was used at right back, but he has only appeared once more thereafter.
Since October, the celebrity has been sidelined due to thigh surgery.
That came after a groin issue kept him out of action for the entire month of September. After receiving the all-clear to return, Partey recently took off for a warm-weather training camp in Dubai alongside the rest of Arsenal’s team. But last week, he was dealt yet another injury setback when manager Mikel Arteta declared prior to their 3-1 victory against Liverpool that his star player would likely miss more time due to injury.
He said: “With Thomas unfortunately we had a little setback a few days ago.
“I’m not a doctor, but he felt something in a very similar area and he wasn’t able to train the last few days.
According to the Daily Mirror “Partey is expected to leave Arsenal at the end of the season after failing to shake off persistent injury problems”.
After Declan Rice moved in back in July, Arteta was willing to sell Partey. However, they did not get a bid that was acceptable.
Given his recent injury absence, Juventus decided last month not to pursue any signings, however it is now understood that they are interested in signing him.
