Cranes International Brian Majwega And Coach Shafik Bisaso Clash Over Micho And FUFA
January 30, 2023
Ever since the reappointment of Serbian, Milutin Sredojevic aka Micho as the headcoach of the Uganda Cranes, mixed reactions have always prevailed amongst Ugandans.
And this has become more evident after the unfortunate exit of the Cranes from the ongoing CHAN tournament where they had firm control.
Many voices are now calling for the sacking of the Serbian wolf.
This is because as much as the team struggles to score, it also plays boring defensive football.
According to Bisaso changing the technical bench which every Ugandan wants is not the solution.
The problem is that there are lots of talented and hardworking players but with an unreliable and unchecked attitude.
What the national team needs right now is players with the right attitude.
“Talented & hardworking but unreliable with unchecked ATTITUDE. Every end of Tournaments & all other Qualification games. A call for a change of technical bench is on the lips of every Ugandan. Attitude is wanting we need players with the right ATTITUDE. Not a change of Coaches,” the former SC Villa, Express and Proline coach said.
However, Majwega thinks otherwise.
According to him, the problem neither lies with the players nor the technical bench.
It’s rather the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) to blame.
Majwega said that these should put their differences and grudges against players aside.
The players should therefore be summoned on merit and not selfish individual interests.
“I think the problem is not about the players neither the technical team but rather being honest and putting aside grudges they have on football players, let the federation summon the team basing on merit not personal benefits.”
The KCCA footballer is not the first person to blame FUFA for failing the national team.
A number of players have come out to express their dissatisfaction with the Federation’s interference on the pitch matters.
