Tanzanian side Simba SC have completed a double over Ugandan side Vipers SC after edging the Venoms by a goal to nil in Tanzania.
Vipers started the game in high gear with Ibrahim Orit having the first shot on target in the first minute.
The Msimbazi also launched a dangerous attack that sent Vipers Congolese goalkeeper Alfred Mudekereza into a great save.
Both teams then turned to an entertaining half of football with attack after attack.
Simba‘s goalkeeper Salum Manula was saved into a couple of good saves by Vipers players.
It was however the Tanzanians who came out on top in the first half after winger Clatous Chota Chama found the back of the net just at the stroke of halftime.
Vipers coach Beto Bianchi made the first substitution in the 55th by bringing on Ivorian forward Desire Tetty for Ibrahim Orit.
Martin Kiiza and Najib Yiga also came on in the 70th minute for Abdu Lumala and Oliver Osomba.
The Ugandan side made their last sub in the 85th minute by bringing on Abubaker Lawal for Yunus Sentamu.
Despite all the attempts and the brilliant display by the reigning Uganda Premier League champions, the game ended in defeat.
Vipers have now picked up just one point from 4 games in the CAF Champions League groupstages.
In the other game, Raja Casablanca beat Guinean side Horoya AC 3-1 in a game that saw both sides end the game with 10 men.
