Video: Spanish FA president comes under fire for kissing female player

Luis Rubiales the president of the Spanish Football association has come under fire after he kissed the team captain of the Spanish women’s national football team, Jenni Hermoso.
This was during the presentation of the winners medals by to the Spanish team by FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
Spain defeated England’s Lionesses 1-0 in the final.on Sunday in Sydney, Australia. Rubiales was filmed painting a mouth to mouth kiss onto Hermoso.
He has now been getting criticized ove this gesture. Hermoso herself came out to speak about the issue saying that it was an act of affection an denoting to it.
“‘It was a totally spontaneous mutual gesture because of the immense joy that winning a World Cup brings,’ said Hermoso, in comments given to AFP by the Spanish federation.
‘The president and I have a great relationship, his behaviour with all of us has been outstanding and it was a natural gesture of affection and gratitude.’
Rubiales however after getting criticized a lot said that his kiss was unnecessary and he shouldn’t have done it.
He said that it was an ‘unimportant gesture of affection.’
