Tanzanian giants Simba SC have today officially unveiled Brazilian coach Roberto Olivieira aka Robertinho as their new head coach.
Its understood that Robertinho has put pen to paper on a 2 year deal.
He replaces Simba’s former coach Zoran Manoljovic who left the club last year.
The Msimbazi spent the first half of the season under caretaker Juma Mgunda.
Robertinho left Vipers a few days ago as was confirmed by the club in order to join Simba.
Robertinho had a memorable and impressive stint with Vipers as he managed 57 games, winning 43, drawing 9 and only lost six.
He led the Kitende based side to a league title and Stanbic Uganda cup during his stay there.
Robertinho also guided the Venoms to their first appearance in the CAF Champions League groupstages after defeating Congolese giants TP Mazembe on spot kicks.
Robertinho will be coming up against Vipers in the CAF Champions League as the two teams are in the same group.
They are joined by Raja Casablanca of Morocco and Horoya AC of Guinea.
Meanwhile Vipers are yet to find a replacement for Robertinho as rumors have it that former KCCA coach Mike Mutebi is the leading contender for the job.
