Unbelievable money- Cesar Manzoki’s transfer fee from Vipers to Dalian Pro revealed

Football is a really lucrative football as has been proven in some of the major leagues across the world.

Well in Uganda, it seems like Vipers is already tasting part of that financial success.

This is after this website got insight into the transfer fee of Congolese striker Cesar Manzoki.

Manzoki was in sublime form in the 2021-22 season as he bagged the top scorer accolade and best player award in the Uganda Premier League.

Speculation started mounting over his future as he was heavily linked to Simba SC.

Cesar Manzoki however eventually moved to Chinese side Dalian Pro.

However, the transfer fee was undisclosed and it was just rumors.

But as per Daily Monitor, Manzoki moved from Vipers to Dalian for a fee of $200,000.

This is an equivalent of Shs737m.

It wasn’t however only Manzoki that Vipers raked in millions from.

The sales of forward Richard Basangwa, left back Aziz Kayondo and Bobosi Byaruhanga to Wadi Degla in Egypt, Salt Lake in the USA and Czech Republic MFK Vyskov respectively also earned the club some good money.

Further data from the transfer market in Uganda shows that Wankulukuku based side, Express FC pocketed Shs 336 million from the sale of forward Eric Kambale.

It was initially reported to be Shs 150m but it’s now updated to $91,000.

The tax collectors URA FC also bagged heavy money from the sale of their striker Steven Desse Mukwala.

Mukwala was sold to Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko.

According to local sports website Swift Sports “BUL FC also earned big in the transfer of Simon Peter Oketch to Ethiopian side Insurance while Gaddafi FC also reaped in Charles Musiige’s transfer to Ethiopian side Dire Dawa City. Arua Hill were the other Uganda Premier league side that gained from the transfer business as they sold Alfred Leku to Zambian side Zesco United.”

All in all $700,000 an approximate of Shs 2.6b was made by the five clubs from player sales.

50 players were sold outside Uganda and 32 were imported into the country.
