Uganda Premier League returns as table leaders KCCA visit stubborn Wakiso Giants

The long wait is finally over as the Uganda Premier League restarts today for the second round of games which promises to be action packed.
And what better way to start the action with league leaders, KCCA in action.
The Kasasiro boys will be taking a visit to Wakiso to take on Wakiso Giants at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium.
KCCA are currently on top of the Uganda Premier League table with 29 points.
Wakiso Giants on the other hand are 4th with 25 points.
This will therefore be a fierce clash as both teams know what the game means to them.
About 4 players of Wakiso Giants in Tom Masiko, Bashir Ssekagya, Moses Aliro and new signing Paul Willa will be taking on their former bosses, KCCA.
Wakiso Giants coach, John ‘Ayala’ Luyinda has revealed that despite the absence of their star player Ibrahim Kasule who made a transfer to Turkey. They have other players who can fill the void.
βWe were a little pleased with our performance in the first round. Kasule was one of our best players and although we shall miss him, we canβt use that as an excuse to stop performing.
We are playing a good side with quality but we have a motivator that we are playing at home where we have done well so and we feel the home crowd will push us.β

The Purple Sharks will be without Ronald Madoi and Apollo Kagogwe as well as midfielder Titus Ssematimba.
Lincoln Mukisa is also awaiting his license to be approved whereas the rest of the squad is available.
KCCA coach Morley Byekwaso is also aware of the threat posed by Wakiso Giants.
” They are in fourth position and the difference between them and us shows how tough the encounter will be,β he stated.
Ashraf Mugume, Julius Poloto, Denis Iguma (doubtful), Peter Magambo (documentation) could miss out on the encounter. This is according to the Wakiso Giants website.

KCCA have won 3 times, Wakiso Giants once and the other game has been a draw.
The last encounter at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium saw KCCA put 3 past the Purple Sharks.
The game will be live on Sanyuka TV at 4pm.
