The lads are set to take on Nigeria today at 8pm in the quarter finals.
And skipper Mugulusi is confident that they can get past the record cup winners.
While speaking to CAF media, the FC Madekikos midfielder hailed his teammates.
Mugulusi said that the boys are in high spirits and brave of what is about to come.
Everyone in camp is ready and they just can’t wait to take on the West African country.
“In this team, everyone is captain. It is not only me so it’s not something big I am the one who wears the armband but everyone is a leader in the team.”
“We are ready , everyone is in shape, we are mentally good. We have tried to put what the coach wants in practice. I think we can overcome Nigeria in the quarter finals.”
” Nigeria have been good but we’re also good and we can compete”
Mugulusi was part of the Uganda Hippos squad under current KCCA coach Morley Byekwaso in 2020.
They finished as runners up after a 2-0 loss to Ghana.
His experience and leadership will therefore be highly needed by the Hippos under Jackson Mayanja.
