Organizers push 2023 University Football League ahead

The 11th edition of the Pepsi University Football League has been postponed by the organizers from the initial dates to a later date.

This year’s edition was slated to begi with the defending champions Uganda Martyrs taking on Bugema University in Nkozi.

The game was slated for tomorrow 9th March 2023.

An official communication as per this development is yet to be passed although it’s believed new dates will ne communicated soon.

A total of 24 teams are set to take part in this year’s tournament.

Kampala International University (KIU) will be returning to the competition after serving it’s ban.

ISBAT University will be making their first appearance meanwhile.

Kaija Sanny’s goal last year in November gifted Uganda Martyrs University the trophy at the expense of St Lawrence University at Lugogo.

Group A – Kabale University, Uganda Martyrs University, Bugema University, University of Kisubi”

Group B – Islamic University In Uganda, Makerere University Business School, Victoria University, YMCA

Group C – Muni University, Kyambogo University, Makerere University, Ndejje University

Group D – Kumi University, Uganda Christian University, Busitema University, Kampala International University

Group E – Gulu University, St Lawrence University, International University of East Africa, Nkumba University”
