The Gunners captain Martin Ødegaard won the Premier League player of the year.
The Norwegian has been a vital feature of Mike Arteta’s side as they look to win the the English Premier League title after 19 years of waiting.
Ødegaard has been involved in 16 goals scoring 10 and assisting 6 in the league.
He however had to see off competition from some of the league’s best players for the clubs in London.
These included Tottenham forward Harry Kane, Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic, Brentford‘s forward Ivan Toney and Arsenal teammate Bukayo Saka.
‘I just want to share this with the whole team. It’s great to see the club being recognised with all the awards,’ the midfielder said.
Inform Gunners and England winger Bukayo Saka bagged the Young Player of The Year award.
This was the second time the 21 year old won it having collected it too in 2021.
Arsenal’s shotstopper Aaron Ramsdale got recognized for his heroics behind the sticks as he won the Goalkeeper of The Year.
Mike Arteta rounded off Arsenal’s quadruple of awards as he took home the manager of the year accolade.
‘I would like to thank you for the award, for all my colleagues, all the staff, everyone at the club. That inspires & supports me and obviously all the supporters that support our club and football in general,’ the Spaniard said.
Apparently 13 time League champions are top of the EPL table 5 points clear of their fiercest title contenders Manchester City.
Besides the North London club will be back in League action on Sunday as they take on Crystal Palace at The Emirates.
