The Taifa Stars beat the Cranes 1-0 in the first leg of the two header qualifiers.

Simon Msuva scored the lone goal of the game which came in the middle of the second half in the game played at the Suez Canal Authority stadium.

The Tanzanians made sure to defend their win and take all the maximum points.

Micho made three changes at the start of the second half, bringing on Steven Sserwadda, Isma Mugulusi and Richard Basangwa with Siraje Ssentamu, Fahad Bayo and Faruku all paving way.

Further changes of Allan Okello and Rogers Mato coming on for Emmanuel Okwi and Sserwadda who got injured.

The two teams will face off again on Tuesday next week at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
