March 27, 2023

Former Wakiso Giants attacker Ibrahim ‘Owen Kasule’ looks like he’s set to join MLS side New York Red Bulls II after his spell in Turkey was cut short.

The winger is reported to have traveled to the US over the weekend to finalize the deal.

It should be recalled that the New York Red Bulls II are managed by former Cranes skipper Ibrahim Sekagya.

After a lot of speculation in the January transfer window, Ibrahim Kasule ended up joining Turkish side Ankara Keciorengucu.

Initially he had been rumored to be on the verge of joining the MLS.

This is after Sekagya was spotted at Wakiso Giants.

It is said that Sekagya wrote to Ankara Keciorengucu amd advised them against signing the winger.

He said that he had already secured a contract with him.

Sekagya further is said to have sent a duplicate contract to the Turkish side.

This showed that the player had been signed by New York Red Bulls II.

Ankara on the other hand also claimed to have purchased the player via the legal FIFA and FUFA means.

For now its not clear which club acquired the player legally but we shall keep you updated.
