Moses Magogo delivers verdict on Micho’s future as Cranes headcoach

FUFA president Eng Moses Magogo has come out ro private an update about the future of Uganda Cranes headcoach Milutin Sredojevic aka Micho.

Following the unconvincing results from the Cranes in the previous matches, Ugandans had called for his sacking.

Luckily for Micho, the Cranes were able to beat Tanzania 1-0 in Dar es Salaam which relived pressure off the Serbian.

Now Magogo has revealed in a press conference that Micho is still around.

This is at least until the AFCON qualifiers are done.

“‘All positions of the ten Football National Teams are vacant with the exception of the @UgandaCranespositions. For the Senior National team, assessment will be done after the #AFCON2023Q campaign,” said Magogo.

In further changes announced by Magogo, he said that the assistant team of the Cranes will also doubles as head coach of the Uganda Kobs.

“Changes in Technical positions of the teams

Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Goalkeeping Coach and Fitness trainer will all be full-time employees. The Assistant Coach will also double as the head coach of the U23 National Team (The Kobs).”

The Goalkeeping Coach of the
Uganda Cranes
will also head the goalkeeping department across all the National Teams.

Equally, the Fitness trainer for the Senior National Team will also head the docket.

For the women football teams, the Head coach of
Crested Cranes
will be assisted by coaches of the U20 (Queen Cranes) and U17 (Teen Cranes.
