10 Man Express defeats Oduparaka to end their 11 winless streak

Express defeated Oduparaka by a 4-1 score at Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku in Uganda premier league to end their poor run of 11 games minus winning.

Express defeated Oduparaka to complete the first ever league double against Arua based side.

James Odoch who is currently the head coach at Express had to make things good on his side. Fans were already demanding for his sacking.

Boban Ziruntusa opened the score for Express in the 23rd minute thanks to Derrick Ngobi’ assist.

However, in the 56th minute things looked to turn against Express when defender Derrick Ngobi was shown Marching orders following a bookable offence on Rashid Yakini.

This could not stop angry Express till Kayiwa doubled Express FC’s lead in the 70th minute through a penalty kick.

Allan Kayiwa completed his brace in the 87th minute before Marvin Oshaba scored in the 90+ minute to seal the 4 goals of Express.

Oduparaka responded with 1 in the final minutes and this could only be a consolation for them.

A win pushed Express to 22 points in the 11th place. They are now 4 points clear of relegation.

On the other side, Oduparaka remained last on 10 points from 18 games. They are now 8 points away from getting off from the red zone.

Express will play their next Uganda premier league game on 8th April. They will be visiting BUL at FUFA Technical Center Njeru.

On the other side, Oduparaka will be hosting BUL on 4th April.
