Well a look at Burnley shows that they are a different side from what was known of them.
The club under current Everton boss Sean Dyche were known as the kings of low block football.
They defended so deep and had no attacking flair in them.
However Vincent Kompany‘s side has a free flow attacking football flair.
Kompany is without a doubt a learned student from Manchester City’s headcoach Pep Guardiola.
It should be noted that this was the ex Belgian captain’s stint in England.
Before joining Burnley, he was the headcoach at Belgian side Anderlecht where he was highly rated.
The club also lost some of their top players after being relegated.
“Burnley had lost their figurehead manager in Sean Dyche – who had spent nearly a decade shaping the club in his image – their England international goalkeeper Nick Pope, their reliable defensive duo James Tarkowski and Ben Mee, Nathan Collins, Dwight McNeil, Max Cornet and Ashley Westwood.”
After this achievement, Kompany said that “My blood is boiling just hearing the word complacent. It’s something I find very difficult as a human being to even accept.”
