FUFA releases date fixtures for the Uganda Cup semifinals

The dates for the 49th edition of Stanbic Uganda Cup have been released by FUFA. It should be recalled that the semi finals of this season will be played on a 2 leg basis of home and away.

The two encounters will see two clubs of the FUFA Big League and the Star Times Uganda Premier League. Police will take on Adjumani in the first semifinal of the cup on 15th May at Kavumba Recreation grounds.

Adjumani T/C will then host Police for the second leg at  Paridi Stadium, the home of Adjumani TC on 26th May. For the Uganda Premier League encounter, Vipers will entertain Soltilo Bright Stars at St Mary’s Kitende on the 20th of May.

Bright Stars who beat the 2 time cup winners in the league yesterday by a goal to nil will then host them at Kavumba Recreation grounds on 30th May.

FUFA  also communicated that they shall apply the away goals rule in case the score is the same by the end of the game. And if this is also the same, the teams shall take spot kicks. There will be no extra time.
