Kiiza Mustafa reveals what he has to do to get back to the National team
February 24, 2023
KCCA leftback Kiiza Mustafa has revealed his plans to get back to the fold of the National team, the Cranes.
The player was one of the mainstays of the National team a while ago but he’s yet to feature for the Cranes in a while now.
And he says that he knows that to get back to the team is through hardwork and not through favoritism.
He will therefore work his way back to the top.
“I don’t need to talk to Coach Micho to return to the national team. All I need to do is play my best at @KCCAFC to see to it that I can get the call to represent my country.”
Mustafa who joined Montreal Impact in 2020 from KCCA failed to nail a spot in the team.
He made 20 appearances for the MLS side before joining Portuguese side FC Arouca.
The 23 year old didn’t make any appearance there and saw his contract get terminated before heading back to KCCA FC.
According to him, many Ugandan players who go abroad fail because they are not given understanding of the game even when they are good at playing.
“Many Ugandan footballers fail to make it in those leagues abroad because back home ,we are not given the detail of understanding of the game even when we know how to play.”
Mustafa will be hoping to revive his career with the Kasasiro boys before eyeing another big move abroad.
