Manchester United‘s problems seem to stretch far from the pitch to the staff according to the latest reports. Jadon Sancho and the club’s manager Erik Ten Hag, seem to have had a falling out.
Following a 3-1 thrashing of the Red Devils by Arsenal at the Emirates, Ten Hag was asked why Sancho wasn’t available for selection of the game.
The Dutch coach seemed to suggest that the Engliahmam isn’t putting in effort in training. Therefore he’s mediocre level couldn’t permit him to get into the matchday squad.
However, via a statement released through his social media pages, Sancho said that everything said in the news shouldn’t be believed. He added that he’s been the scapegoat for so long but he won’t allow this behavior to go on.
According to the former Borussia Dortmund winger, he’s been putting in the work and is ready to represent the club no matter what. Additionally he said that his issues with the coaching staff stem further more than he wants to delve into.
Ever since his big money move from Germany to Manchester, the 24 year old has been unable to find his best self. Various mediocre performances that can’t justify his price tag have been the order of the day.
Sancho even had Ten Hag defending him last season as the player was dealing with some personal issues. He’s not the first player to fall out with Ten Hag as now departed Cristiano Ronaldo also did so last year in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
United meanwhile have lost 2 of their opening 4 games of the 2023-24 campaign with their latest defeat being inflicted upon them by their old rivals, Arsenal.
Martin Odegaard canceled out Marcus Rashford’s opener. United thought they had won it before Alejandro Garnacho’s goal got ruled out for offside.
Arsenal new signing Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus scored late to give Mikel Arteta’s side all the 3 points.
