Scottish side Dundee United‘s Ugandan forward Sadat Anaku has withdrawn from the Uganda Cranes squad which is set to take on Tanzania in a double header in the AFCON qualifiers.
Anaku withdrew from the squad due to injury.
This was communicated to FUFA by his club Dundee United.
The former KCCA FC striker didn’t feature for Dundee United in their previous game against St.Mirren.
Anaku was last in action for Dundee two weeks ago in rhe 1-1 draw against Livingston on 8th March.
He’s meanwhile featured for Dundee 12 times ever since his move to the club permanently last year.
However he’s yet to make a senior appearance for the Uganda Cranes.
All the players who were summoned have now joined the national team in Egypt.
The team currently is at Mecure Hotel in Ismailia, Egypt.
They will play Tanzania in the first leg at 24th March at the Suez Canal Authority stadium.
Four days later the two teams will clash off in the second leg in Dar es Salaam.
